Sonny is the product of the Guam Public School System, graduating in 1996 from George Washington High School. He received his B.A. from the University of Guam in 2000.
Sonny is embarking on his tenth year as an art teacher at John F. Kennedy High School.
Sonny enjoys practicing and instructing martial arts, spending time with his love, Lani Sablan and their three dogs--Kona, Mitch and Ronin.
Sonny created the beautiful images of Sirena: A Mermaid Legend from Guam and the cover and title art for Attitude 13: A Daughter of Guam's Collection of Short Stories. He and his sister, Tanya Chargualaf Taimanglo, will continue to bring their Chamorro heritage to life through future projects.
