Patricia L.G. Taimanglo, Ph.D. is a Chamorro woman from the village of Barrigada, Guam. She earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of Guam and taught for more than 12 years in Guam and Hawai’i. In her career as a teacher, she loved to inspire and develop her student’s overall potential through the encouragement of their creativity and their ethnic and cultural identity.
Dr. Taimanglo earned her master’s degree in Counselor Education from the University of Hawai’i and a doctoral degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is a nationally certified counselor and school psychologist as well as a licensed Psychologist on Guam and Hawai’i. Currently, Dr. Taimanglo lives on Guam where she serves the People of Guam through her private practice.
At the heart of Dr. Taimanglo’s life are her two children (Alison Taimanglo Cuasay and Aaron Inapu Taimanglo Pier), her parents Vicenta and Vicente Taimanglo, and her brothers and sisters. Their wisdom, compassion and humanity taught her more than anything learned from any institution. They continue to inspire her and bring much joy to her life.
