Guam Books & Beads was created to showcase children's books, short stories, handcrafted jewelry and art inspired by the rich Chamorro heritage of Guam and the Mariana Islands.
The women of Guam Books & Beads hope to instill a sense of pride and cultural belonging in a generation of Chamorros through their stories, characters, images, and Chamorro language. Finding new roots in Southern California, Tanya and Alison are proud daughters of Guam. Their dream is to provide the People of Guam and the Mariana Islands a link to their unique cultural identity and to share the beauty of their Island home with the world.
